Bearcat Hockey Club offers a world-class hockey development experience that helps players grow, compete, and build confidence both on and off the ice. We work closely with families to ensure proper team placement and a competitive environment that challenges each player while maintaining the fun and spirit of the game.
Our tournaments are “stay-to-play” events run through some of the largest and most respected tournament directors in the country. We carefully coordinate to ensure our teams are placed in the most competitive divisions possible.
The season fee is $1,695. We offer flexible payment plans ranging from 4-month to 8-month schedules, tailored to fit your family’s needs.
In addition, there is a team fee of $250, which covers:
✔ Two jerseys
✔ Two socks
✔ Coaches’ fees
✔ Three tournaments with the same team and coach for the season
✔ At least one team social event (with pizza, drinks, and fun competitions like knee hockey and kids’ games)
✔ Meet the Coaches sessions
✔ Exposure to junior and college coaches, plus connections to former and current pro players
✔ Pre-tournament practices in the tournament city the night before the event (optional but encouraged)
✔ A coaching focus on positional play and micro-coaching (real-time, on-bench instruction)
Yes! We hold team practices in tournament cities the night before tournaments. While these practices are not mandatory, they are strongly encouraged as they help players adjust, work on team systems, and prepare mentally and physically.
We work directly with families to ensure players are placed on teams that fit their skill level, development goals, and competitive needs. We adjust rosters as necessary to maintain balance, competitiveness, and a positive team environment.
Tryouts and ID skates are important tools that help us evaluate player skills and place each player on the right team. However, true team chemistry can only develop once players start practicing and competing together.
It’s important to understand that no one can predict perfect team chemistry in advance — it takes time, shared experience, and trust built on and off the ice.
What truly helps our teams succeed is when parents create a positive, supportive environment that allows the players to focus on growth, teamwork, and fun — without distractions or negativity. We ask all families to leave behind any hockey politics or parent drama from fall teams and commit to helping foster a positive atmosphere.
At Bearcat, we’re here to play hockey and have fun. Let’s work together to make sure every player gets the chance to thrive, improve, and enjoy the game they love.
Most tournaments are stay-to-play events, meaning families are required to book hotels through the tournament’s designated housing partner. This ensures team members stay together, fostering camaraderie and convenience.
We provide exceptional exposure opportunities through our network of junior and college coaches, as well as former and current pro players. We actively help players navigate pathways to the next level, whether that’s juniors, prep, college, or beyond.
We have a strict no-refund policy. Once you commit, your player’s roster spot and coaching resources are locked in for the season.
If you cannot participate in a tournament and give advance notice, we will help find a replacement. Once a replacement player is secured, their registration fee will be transferred to you. If we cannot find a replacement, we can assist in finding a summer series event or alternative option — but refunds are not available.
At Bearcat Hockey Club, we are committed to pursuing a winning season. We work hard at every tournament to compete fiercely, chase victories, and bring home the wins and the trophies.
That said, we also understand that it’s unrealistic to expect to take every championship — because true success goes beyond the scoreboard.
Our primary goal is to help our players grow as athletes and individuals, developing not only their skills on the ice but also their character off it. We emphasize respect, a positive attitude, teamwork, and sportsmanship, all aligned with the highest standards of values and ethics.
Winning is important — but winning the right way and building great people is what truly defines Bearcat Hockey Club.
Players must provide their own full set of USA Hockey-approved gear. Team jerseys and socks are included in your team fee.
We require all players, parents, and staff to follow our code of conduct, which emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, effort, and teamwork. A positive and respectful environment on and off the ice is essential to our club culture.
We use direct email, team group chats, and our club platform for regular updates. You can also reach out anytime to our Chief Communications Officer, Nicole, for assistance and questions.
Yes! We offer select coaching opportunities for qualified parents, and those who serve as approved team coaches receive a discount on program fees. If you’re interested in coaching, please contact us to discuss available roles and qualifications.
Typically, rosters are set before the season begins, but you can contact us to inquire about openings or waitlists. We can often find a suitable team to place a player on mid-season.
